Sather Continues to Run Strong at Evergreen Speedway

First-year Drive for Diversity driver Natalie Sather scored a second-place finish Saturday in The Speedway Chevrolet Super Late Model 125 at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, Wash.

“I’ve had a blast out here this season,” said Sather, who has one win and 10 top fives this season driving the No. 94 Total Velocity Motorsports Toyota. “I’ve learned so much about racing on asphalt and it’s great to be able to go out there and run up front.”

Sather qualified second for the super late model event, and took the lead at the drop of the green flag. After leading the first 34 laps, Sather fell back to fourth on a restart but was able to work her way back for the second-place finish. The 125-lap race on the .625-mile oval was the longest of the year for Sather, who is in her first year competing on asphalt.

Sather is fourth in The Speedway Chevrolet Super Late Model division standings. She will make her final start of the season at Evergreen Speedway on Sept. 19.

D4D NEWS AND NOTES:
Mackena Bell wrapped up her rookie season at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale (Calif.) on Saturday in the Super Late Model Twin 40s. Bell, driving the No. 30 Position One Motorsport Chevrolet, finished 11th and 13th in the events.

Katie Hagar, driving the No. 14 Golden State Racing Chevrolet, returned to action at Stockton 99 Speedway in Stockton, Calif., on Saturday. Hagar finished 15th and seventh in the Twin 50-lap late model races.

Juan Pitta was at All American Speedway in Roseville, Calif., for Twin 44-lap late model races on Saturday night. Pitta finished fifth and sixth, driving the No. 16 101.9 The Wolf Toyota for Bill McAnally Racing. Pitta is fourth in the All American Speedway Late Model division standings.

Megan Reitenour closed out her season at Tri-County Motor Speedway in Hudson, N.C., with the Late Model 100 on Friday night. Reitenour started 17th but worked her way to a ninth-place finish. She ends the season fourth in the Tri-County Motor Speedway late model standings.
